The PHILOSOPHY of GPO
GPO was founded in 2015 by former executives and specialists from the optics industry with the goal of offering nature-loving customers particularly high-quality optics with significantly more features at an extremely fair price-performance ratio. This is made possible by particularly lean, flexible, and efficient corporate structures and processes.
Key pillars are the hunting, nature observation, government, and OEM segments. Today, GPO products are already available in over 60 countries, mostly under the GPO brand, but often also under the brands of OEM partners.
The group's headquarters is located in Germany, near Munich (Inning am Ammersee). All central departments such as Research & Development, Product Management, Engineering & Design,
Quality Control, Marketing & Sales, Administration, and Logistics are also located here.

Our MISSION
GPO combines over 100 years of industry and outdoor experience and stands for the highest quality standards Designed & Engineered in Germany as well as long-term, trusting partnerships on an equal footing.
We know all the requirements and needs of our partners and customers and address them in the best possible way.
In our design, development, and quality center near Munich, we react quickly and flexibly to product trends, constantly set new standards, and keep costs low through lean and efficient structures/processes.
Our Commitment to Quality
Every new product begins at our headquarters in Germany with its specification, development including optical design, and mechanical engineering. Key components, such as the electronics for our riflescopes, are developed and manufactured entirely in Germany. Software and menu navigation (e.g., RANGEGUIDE™, RANGETRACKER™) are also specified and programmed here, taking into account the aspects of intuitive user guidance. GPO places value on high-quality, modern, and ergonomic design, as well as on select materials (e.g., engraved and colored decorative rings or control elements, rubber-armored aluminum eyecups, or magnesium binocular bridges with a soft-touch coating). Important tools, such as those for magnesium die-casting or rubber injection molding, are developed by GPO and are company property. Therefore, all GPO products carry the label Designed & Engineered in Germany and come with a 10-year warranty.
Final assembly takes place in our international production network in Asia (Japan, Philippines, China). From there, all products are returned to the headquarters in Germany, where they undergo a 100% final quality inspection and are packaged and shipped with comprehensive accessories and documentation. In doing so, GPO always acts sustainably, resource-efficiently, and with environmental consciousness.
